Authentic Craft
A focus on handmade textile traditions, materials and workmanship.
IKAT connects the timeless character of Persian textile arts with contemporary interiors and international markets. From handwoven kilims to future collections of fabrics, embroidery and carpets, each piece carries the warmth of human craft.
IKAT was created from a lifelong connection with woven art. What began with childhood memories of wool, color and traditional handwoven pieces in Azerbaijan later grew into professional study, a small workshop, teaching, and eventually a broader vision for Persian textile arts.
Our goal is not limited to one region or one product. We want to create a bridge between generations of craftsmanship and the needs of contemporary international buyers.

IKAT takes its name from a family story passed down through generations. In that oral tradition, master makers known as Ikat makers are remembered for weaving metal-thread textiles and extraordinary diamond-shaped flying carpets associated with resistance. After the makers were lost, families recreated the same form as remembrance kites and later as small woven wall hangings decorated with esfand. The founder remembers this symbol from her grandmother’s home and her mother’s weaving workshop; today, its diamond form is returning to the loom as a signature IKAT kilim.
